Editions
eminec MYmap is avaliable in multiple editions: Basic, Standard and Premium. During your free 30-day trial, you can choose between these editions every time you launch the program; when you buy, you decide for the edition that conforms to your requirements best. If your needs rise later, you can upgrade the existing license.
eminec MYmap Academic is special: its features are absolutely the same as in eminec MYmap Premium, but the license is sold at a reduced price. This edition is available to students, lecturers and teachers only.
Basic, Standard and Premium
The following features are contained in all editions:
Edit maps:
Create new maps, or start with a template. Add branches, sub-branches, free text, connection lines and graphics. Use the high flexibility to position all objects freely, or use the automatic layout feature of eminec MYmap.
View maps:
Open eminec MYmap files, zoom in to see important details, and show or hide outline levels to get a better overview. Navigate comfortably and rapidly using the mouse or the keyboard.
Print maps:
Output an eminec MYmap file to your printer. You can add a frame, the map’s background color and date/time information.
Additions in Standard and Premium
The following features are contained in eminec MYmap Standard and Premium as an addition to the ones described above:
See and edit the outline:
Use the traditional outline (tree view) of your map, continuously updated by eminec MYmap in real-time, to navigate quickly — or change the outline, and your map will adapt.
Use convenience features:
Save time using the Quick Start window, which gives you access to documents recently used. Search your personal map archive. See who has authored a map and who has last changed it.
Create classes:
Add your own properties and property values to objects in your map, and create a class hierarchy with inheritance. Use classes to make comparisons and decisions faster and more easily.
Print maps in poster size:
Produce flipcharts by choosing the zoom value (almost) freely when printing MYmap documents. You will be able to assemble even very large printouts easily because tiling instructions can be printed onto every sheet.
Export the outline:
Convert the tree structure of an eminec MYmap document to a classic outline — with or without numbering. Use the outline (HTML) with a web editor or your existing word processing software (e. g. Microsoft Word).
Export a drawing:
Save your map as a JPEG drawing, and use it on your web page, on your organization's intranet or for further editing in your graphics software (e. g. Adobe Photoshop).
Additions in Premium
The following features are contained in eminec MYmap Premium as an addition to the ones described above:
Brainstorm rapidly:
Collect new ideas in short time by brainstorming with the zzap feature. Use your best ideas by dragging and dropping them into a map which you can then edit in the usual way.
Encrypt maps:
Encrypt your maps with a password to protect your ideas from unauthorized access. (Users of eminec MYmap Standard can open protected maps.)
Research on the Internet:
Make eminec MYmap search the most important search engines with a single mouse click or keystroke, and get more information about the topics in your map.
Export an enlarged/reduced drawing:
Save your map as a JPEG drawing — in contrast to Standard edition, you can scale up or down the drawing to match the exact requirements for your specific use.
Export properties:
When exporting, enrich the classic outline with properties and property values of your user-defined class hierarchy. The data will be displayed in an easy-to-understand table.
Export hyperlinks:
When exporting, add the hyperlinks stored in your map to the classic outline.
